Below is a discussion post/thread that I want to share and discuss/post here.
LinkedIn® professional networking services has recently changed the user privacy settings, by default, to give it permission to include photos, posts and related activities of LinkedIn® professional networking services Users in third party paid advertising. Thus making the user an implied endorser of a company, product or service, without his/her explicit consent.
The actual text reads as follows:
"LinkedIn® professional networking services may sometimes pair an advertiser's message with social content from LinkedIn® professional networking services's network in order to make the ad more relevant. When LinkedIn® professional networking services members recommend people and services, follow companies, or take other actions, their name/photo may show up in related ads shown to you.
Conversely, when you take these actions on LinkedIn® professional networking services, your name/photo may show up in related ads shown to LinkedIn® professional networking services members. By providing social context, we make it easy for our members to learn about products and services that the LinkedIn® professional networking services network is interacting with."

These small/subtle changes — are making LinkedIn® professional networking services even better/easier/faster & more powerful to use.

4. Record extended-stay bookings in 2010
Just saw/read the news below — and because the extended-stay
market is so closely related to our corporate housing sector/industry
— I wanted to share this with you.
Extended-stay
hotel room nights accommodated in 2010 were the highest ever recorded
in the first nine months of a year and room revenues hit a record for
any third quarter period, according to The Highland Group's US Extended-Stay
Lodging Report: Third Quarter 2010. Double-digit demand growth combined
with a sharp decline in new rooms opening caused occupancy to rise more
than 10%. Quarterly changes in extended-stay average rate turned positive
following six consecutive quarters of decline. Extended-stay hotel RevPar
should be up 7% to 8% in 2010 compared to 2009. 
The rate of increase in extended-stay hotel supply plummeted to its
lowest level in at least 15 years and it will go even lower in 2011.
Record low supply growth coupled with rising demand and room rates portends
even stronger extended-stay hotel RevPar growth in 2011 than in 2010.
